Frequently Asked Questions
Support Group vs. Group Therapy?

A support group (or anonymous group) is a group of people that meet regularly to support one another through a tough time or issue. Support groups can be facilitated by anyone. Support group facilitators do not require training or a license. Minimal commitment is required, and the group composition may differ from week to week. Often more for Psycho-educational purposes.

‍‍Group therapy offers much more than just support. Group Therapy offers support to participants, but is much more structured and curated with the goal of discussing deep rooted concerns through psychodynamic techniques. Unlike support group facilitators, group therapy facilitators are licensed therapists or doctors or psychologists. Reviving Mind’s Group Therapy sessions are run by licensed therapists that are all experienced and trained to help you heal from anxiety, stress, or depression.
